If you are running any version of OS X Snow Leopard that is older than the 10.6.8 update, you will need to update to the latest version before you can download OS X Yosemite. Find the best programs like Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update for Mac. More than 6 alternatives to choose: The Sims 2, OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, SnowChecker and more.
Just purchased 2 Pioneer DDJ SX and downloaded everything according to the instructions. I read the requirements and noticed it didnt mention 10.6.8, only 10.7 and up.
But thought maybe it would still work ok. It didnt, didnt load and is viewed as an application that cant be open (line through it). Surely there is a way to and location to download a version that works with Snow Leopard 10.6.8, if you know I'd appreciate you sharing. If push comes to shove, I can always go into terminal and adjust the plist so that snow leopard is recognized as mountain lion to trick the system into downloading. I dont see why i'd need to do this as the older more stable osx version is more commonly used as a result of requiring less from the cpu. Hope u can help. Gk Using a black macbook running 10.6.8 for dj needs, not planning on upgrading to mountain lion as it requires more resources.
Hi, I'm using a MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, with 4GB of Ram, running OSX 10.6.8. I'm looking to try and experiment with Linux Mint for the first time. I'm reading the Linux Mint User Guide about Torrent (which I never used before). Is there a free Torrent client that's recommended for Mac? I found uTorrent and I'm wondering whether any of you OS X people have used it and what was your experience. There's no mention on the uTorrent website as to which OS X version is supported, so I'm not even sure that my relatively old 10.6.8 will be supported.

Thanks for your help. Thank you all for your kind replies. Here's what I've got so far: 1) Tried uTorrent. Got a 'uTorrent quit unexpectedly' message with the following log: Process: launchd 662 Path: /Applications/uTorrent.app/Contents/MacOS/uTorrent Identifier: com.bittorrent.uTorrent Version:??? Hi 'xh1', You are welcome. All anyone has to do to mark a post as, is to edit your original post and add to the subject line and click submit. We hope you will try Linux Mint which works extremely well, and should work with your hardware.
Linux Mint comes with a Torrent client, but it can use numerous great Torrent Clients. You can use a Torrent application to download the Linux Mint '.iso' file, or you can just download it from your browser. Then, just burn it to a DVD or USB flash drive stick to 'test drive' it, and or to install it. It can be installed along side your existing Mac operating system, or in place of it. You can even fully install Linux Mint to a USB stick and run it from there (should use a high quality USB stick).
